Your tasks

As a member of the Data Science team, you will fully participate in the conduct of real-world (observational) patient studies for our clients: pharmaceutical companies, medical technology companies, biotechnology companies, medical device manufacturers, medical researchers...
 
Your main missions, within a multidisciplinary team (pharmacists, statisticians, engineers and sales representatives):
  • Supervise the conduct of prospective observational studies based on data collected directly from patients: literature review, study design, sample size calculation, drafting of protocol and questionnaire, regulatory procedures, collection and in-depth analysis of data, drafting of study report and presentation of results to the client.
  • Support the team with technical expertise (implementation of new statistical analysis methods, R development, training of team members).
  • Ensure the management of the client relationship.
  • Participate in the leading of scientific committees.
  • Contribute to the writing and publication of posters and scientific articles in reference journals or medical conferences.
  • Identify new scientific and technological partners.
  • Collaborate with other teams to improve Carenity's offering for patients, collaborators and customers.
  • Mentor junior analysts and interns on projects.
  • Contribute to the development of new methodologies: matching with other data sources (connected objects, health insurance data...), conducting decentralized clinical trials, etc.

Your profile

Prerequisites:
  • Graduate of a top-ranking engineering school and/or a master in statistics/biostatistics. Profiles with a background in biology or with an experience in health are preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience minimum as a statistician/ biostatician or as a data project manager in a consulting firm, pharmaceutical company or CRO.
  • Project management experience in clinical research or real-world studies (RWE) is a plus.
  • Mastering of one or more of the following software packages: R, SAS, STATA, Excel (VBA).
  • Theoretical and practical mastering of the following statistical methods: inferential statistics/hypothesis testing, unsupervised classification (clustering), regression models, multivariate descriptive analysis, machine learning.
  • Excellent analytical, writing and synthesis skills.
  • Autonomy, proactivity and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and oral), French (written and oral) is a plus.
  • Willingness to get involved in a young ambitious high growth company
